With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Horace Porter Taylor Jr. (Danville, Virginia), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Horace departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Horace may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Horace leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Porter Taylor and Dorothy Spotswood Taylor; and his wife Grace Joan Taylor. He is survived by: his sister Anne Adcock (Robert); and his friends, Tom Parcell (Carolyn) and Coy Davis (Caroline). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
