She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Eanes and Virgie Adkins Eanes; her husband Charles Medwick Garrett; her son Doug Garrett; and her siblings, Barbara Eanes, Doris Finney, Clarence Eanes and Lewis Eanes.
She is survived by: her daughters, Janice Garrett of Danville and Cynthia Garrett Artis of Danville; her brothers, Eugene Eanes (Wilma) of Reidsville, NC, Otis Eanes (Karen) of Reidsville, NC, Arnett Eanes (Ruth) of Stoneville, NC and Lawrence Eanes (Vanessa) of Warner Robbins, Georgia.; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ruth Eanes of Savanna, GA and Frances Eanes of New Bern; her grandchildren, Alan Garrett (Stephanie), Corey Garrett, Holden Artis and Logan Artis (Ryan Chilton); her great grandchildren, Alexander Garrett, Gabriel Garrett and Elowyn Ruth Artis; and her caregiver Irmi Messick.
