He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Douglas Shelton and Helen Lewis Shelton; and his sister Sarah D. Richards. He is survived by: his brothers, Douglas Shelton (Joan) of Danville and John Shelton of Salem; and his close friend Kathy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
