It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James T. Watlington of Danville, Virginia, who passed away on March 19, 2022, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Luethel McCain Watlington Graves and Deacon Norman Watlington (Delois); his children, Monica Hairston (Rodney) of Greensboro, Jason Watlington of Greensboro, NC and Jeremiah Watlington (Tamara) of Madison, NC; his siblings, Evangelist Carolyn Walter (Thomas) of Yanceyville, NC, Eldress Brenda Walter (Elder Lee) of Pelham, NC, Minister Penny Fleishman (Tommie) of Milton, NC, Minister Annette Garland (David) of Milton, NC, Apostle Norman Watlington (Carolyn) of Rock Hill, SC and Raymond Watlington of Yanceyville, NC; and his stepbrother Willie Terry of Burlington, NC. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, and cherished friends.
The family is accepting guests at his sister, Carolyn Walter residence 4982 HWY 86 N, Yanceyville, NC 27379 and at his daughter, Monica Hairston residence 3710 Whitworth Drive, Greensboro, NC 27405. (Social distancing and facial masks are required). Due to the constraints of public gatherings during the COVID-19 outbreak: A viewing for Mr. James Thomas Watlington will be Friday, March 25, 2022; from 2 p. m. to 7p. m. in the John & Juanita S. Fulton Memorial Chapel of Fulton-Walton Funeral Home.
