It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Marie Carmichael (Danville, Virginia), born in Ringgold, Virginia, who passed away on October 12, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abram Lee Carmichael and Nora Tate Carmichael. She is survived by: her niece Ann Scarce; and her siblings, Janie C. Curtis, Daniel C. Carmichael of Danville, VA, Carolyn C. McDaniel of McLeansville, NC and Sandra C. Griswell of Hartwell, GA. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
The family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Danville Life Saving Crew at 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541.
