It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jesse Carroll Hawker of Danville, Virginia, who passed away on April 29, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Edwin Lester Hawker and Nancy Wyatt Hawker; and his brothers, Jimmy, Tom and Allen Hawker.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Sandra Jefferson, Teresa Seamon (Jackie) and Nelson Peters; and his niece Lori France. He is also survived by six step-grandchildren, eight step great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel (5858 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24541). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at the Danville Memorial Gardens (510 Church Ave, Danville, VA 24541).

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church Building fund.
