John Barley Obituary

John Edward Barley, 63 of 521 Cabell Street, Danville, VA died Friday, May 4, 2012 at the VA Hospital in Salem, VA.

Born February 19, 1949 in Danville, VA, he was the son of Mary Barley Adams, who survives.

He was a veteran of the United States Marines.

In addition to his mother, survivors include one sister, Joyce Coleman of Danville, VA; the love of his life, Sandra Thomas of Danville, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by one brother, James Junior Barley.

The family will receive friends at the residence, 521 Cabell Street and the residence of Sandra Thomas, 1059 West Broad Street, Danville, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home with Minister Alfreida Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in Bell Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with full military rites by American Legion Post 29.
