“To Cheryl & family...I just learned of Johns death...We were the same age and went through school as good friends. He came to Knoxville while I was in undergraduate at UT from Wake Forest with friends on several weekends, and when he went to Auburn, he finished his last year of training as a vet at UT new just opened vet school and we shared an apt on 17th/cumberland streets, directly behind the initial Ruby Tuesdays. We were in the same frat but at different schools. Great friend/loss. A.Bray”

Nancy Mayhew wrote a sympathy message

“We have all lost a wonderful man, both for the animal world as well as the human world. Dr. Moser was my vet for many years and always so caring and very skilled at what he did. I came to know him as a friend as well over the years and we had many "enlightening" conversations which I will always treasure. My deepest sympathy and prayers go out to his family as I know he was so loved by all and will be missed tremendously. Rest in Peace, Doc.”
