John L. Cole Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John L. Cole (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Gilbert Cole and Florence Gunnell Cole. He is survived by: his wife Shelia Adkins Cole; his children, John L. Cole, II of Danville, VA and Julia Wellman (Jeff) of Richmond, VA; his sister Faye Haymore (H. F. Haymore) of Danville, VA; his niece Tara Polhamus (Will); his nephew Todd Haymore (Margaret); and his caregivers, Bonnie Wilson, Dawn Scarce and Roman Eagle Rehab. He is also survived by four great nieces and one great nephew.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial donations be made to Mount Hermon Fire and Rescue at 4268 Franklin Turnpike Danville, VA 24540.
