She was predeceased by : her parents, Clarence Jennings Cook and Hazel Shumate Cook; her brother Clarence Mark Cook; and her stepmother Doris H. Cook. She is survived by : her sisters, Mary Estelle Cook and Marquita Snyder. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Schoolfield Cemetery (150 Schoolfield Dr, Danville, VA 24541).
