She was predeceased by: her parents, Ryland Shields Oakes, Sr. and Mary Fowlkes Oakes; her husband Roger Fred Moser; and her siblings, Ryland Oakes, Jr. and Mary Sue McBride.

She is survived by: her children, Teresa Powell (Kenny) of Danville, VA, Dwayne Moser (Tammy) of Danville, VA and Shane Moser (Kendra) of Sutherlin, VA; and her grandchildren, Jared Moser (Sarah) of Danville, VA, Ashley Lumpkins (Pete) of St. Augustine, FL, Peyton Powell of Richmond, VA and Kelly Powell of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by three great grandchildren.
