She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruby Emma Simms Scott and Joseph Emerson Scott Sr.; her son Christopher Ryan Seay; and her grandparents, Charlie Este Simms, Nettie Belle Martin Simms, David Luther Scott and Bessie Lipford Scott.
She is survived by: her son Whit Seay (Stacye) of Hayes, VA; her sisters, Jo Ann Scott of Danville, VA, Pat Daniels (Terry) of South Boston, VA and Marsha Scott of Dry Fork, VA; and her grandson Ryan Seay.
