She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis Barksdale and Mary Ella Barksdale; and her sister Lillie Mae Tate. She is survived by: her husband Larry Jones; her children, Wynnette Oliver (Preston) of Efland and Bryson Coles (Genene) of Danville, VA; her nieces, Artisha Jones of Danville, VA and Tiffany Barksdale-Sutzer (Brian) of Danville, VA; her grandsons, Ajavion Jones of Danville, VA and Kadren Stone of Danville, VA; and her sisters, Ellis Diane Scott of Danville, VA and Sharon Jeanette Cunningham of Danville, VA. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Viewing will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home (707 Wilson St, Danville, VA 24531). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Greater Triumph Missionary Baptist Church (477 Fairview Rd, Chatham, VA 24531).
