He was predeceased by: his parents, Sterling Edward "Jack" Thompson and Hazel Dean Johnson Thompson. He is survived by: his children, Ben Thompson (Brandi) and Kim Pyron (Scott); his grandchildren, Parker Thompson, Peyton Thompson, Adalyn Thompson, Jessica Pyron and Jordan Mell; and his sisters, Janet Tiede (Tom) and Cathy Salmon (Robert). He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
