It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Bowe (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on June 18, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Sadie Bell Graves Bowe and James Bowe, Sr.; and his siblings, Mary Frances, Nancy, James M, Henry Lewis, James Jr., Olander Bowe, Barbara Jones and Hazel Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Adell Bowe; his daughter Wendy Hartwell of Newport News, Virginia; his brother Joseph Bowe of Danville, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Li'Darius and Kimora Edmonds of Newport News, Virginia. He is also survived by grandchildren, relatives and friends.
