She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtle Elizabeth Sawyers Reeves and William Ellis Reeves; her husband Raymond Eugene Byrd Sr.; and her siblings, David, Edna, Hallie, Barbara Ann, Bert and Myra Jean.
She is survived by: her children, Anthea Byrd of Danville, VA and Raymond E. Byrd Jr. (Michelle) of Sanford, NC; her sister Betty Jo Creed; her granddaughter Hannah Brown (Hunter); her great grandchildren, Easton and Emerson Brown; and her nieces, Kathryn Harrison and Phyllis Harrison. She is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
