She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnnie Spangler and Nellie Stanley Spangler; and her brother Arthur Spangler. She is survived by: her husband Calvin Chaney; her sons, Russell Eckard (Dallas) of Ringgold and Alan Eckard (Kelly) of Big Island; her stepchildren, Charles Chaney of Axton, Virginia and Brandie Collins (David) of Chatham, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Holly Shelanksey (Alex), Hannah Wood (Jacob), Dusty Eckard (Anna), Leah Eckard, Chloe Eckard, Caleb Eckard, Brittany Chaney, Joy Collins, Johnny Eckard, Calvin Chaney and William Collins; and her great grandchildren, Elias Shelanskey, Tatum Wood and Danny Eckard.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel (703 N Main St, Danville, VA 24540). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens (1665 South Boston Rd, Danville, VA 24540).
