She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Oscar Bennett Dalton and Gladys Lackey Dalton; her husband James Allen Parsons Sr.; her children, Matthew Cook (Kathy) and Danielle Merricks (Kenny); her siblings, Elizabeth Cox and Claude Dalton; her grandchildren, Blake Evans, Amanda McCurry, Morgan Cook, Kymber Cook, Dalton Cook, Brandon Merricks and Nathan Merricks; her great grandchildren, Allan and Amber; her pet Marcie; her siblings, Peggy Burch and Phillip Dalton; and her caregivers, Chevy Wilkinson, Jasi Redd, Abbey Doss and Shirley McDaniel.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Danville Pittsylvania Pet Center.
