Linda Perdue Kennett Obituary

Linda Dale Perdue Kennett, 75, of 545 Oak Hill Road, Danville, VA passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Sovah Health in Danville after being in declining health for the last two years.

Linda was born on December 15, 1948 in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Calvin Royal Perdue and Odell Texas Long Perdue. She spent the early part of her life in the Richmond, VA area before she moved to Danville, VA in 1989. She was of the Methodist faith.

Linda loved working in her garden, taking care of colorful flowers. She also enjoyed looking after kids and canning fresh fruits and veggies. And in her free time, she liked watching movies.

Linda is survived by her loving daughter, Mary Ellen Kennett of Danville, VA; her sisters, Lois Dodd of Danville, VA, Joyce Webb (George) of Gloucester, VA, and Judy Sexton (Tim) of S. Chesterfield, VA; her special nieces, Karen Hatcher of Prince George, VA and Tracey Powers of Danville, VA; a special nephew, Donnie Jester of S. Chesterfield, VA; several other nieces and nephews; and her special cats, who she adored, Missy and Stormy.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
