We are sad to announce that on October 11, 2021, at the age of 82, Lynwood Compton of Danville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Major Lee Compton and Ellen Mae Jones Compton; and his brother Melvin Lee Compton, Sr.. He is survived by : his wife Elaine Goggin Compton. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
