It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Beam (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Walter Dave Jefferson; her husband William S. Beam; and her siblings, Bobby Jefferson and Shirlene McCubbins. She is survived by: her sons, Kenneth Fitzgerald (Deborah) and Scott Fitzgerald (Pilar); her stepdaughters, Linda Abernathy (Paul), Teresa Winslow (Claren) and Janet Mullis (Don); and her grandchildren, Travis Fitzgerald, Sean Fitzgerald (Brooke), Anne Fitzgerald, Heather Rumfelt (Jeromy), Ryan Abernathy (Elizabeth), Sarah Winslow, Ted Winslow, Sydney Mullis, Erica Sainio (David) and Gabrielle Mullis. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations may be made to the Chestnut Level Baptist Church Youth Program, 6940 Spring Garden Road, Blairs, VA.
