She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Oscar Daniel and Martha Ann Gunn; her husband James Edgar Slade; and her brothers, Earl Daniel and Lewis Oscar Daniel, Jr..
She is survived by: her sons, James Rickie Slade (Beth) of Kernersville, NC, Jack Daniel Slade (Perry) of Burlington, NC, William Steven Slade (Robin) of Blanch, NC and David Ray Slade (Sherri) of Providence, NC; her brother Ronald L. Daniel (Gay Ann) of Blanch, NC; and her sister-in-law Barbara Daniel. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
