She was predeceased by: her parents, William Marshall and Thelma Baity Brown; her husband Robert Clarence Carter, Jr.; and her brother Frank Brown. She is survived by: her daughters, Marsha C. Garren (Ronnie) and Brenda C. Minter (Don); her grandchildren, Robert Garren (Lindsay), Juliana Carter (Brad), Becky Bridges and John Minter (Amanda); and her siblings, Dwight Brown, Charles Brown (Ann) and Geneva Reece (Tony). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
