She was predeceased by: her husband Nathan Keith Patterson, Jr.; and her parents, Rosemary Schermerhorn McElheney of Danville, VA. and Otha Dallas McElheney of Danville, VA.. She is survived by: her children, Keith Patterson (Kelli), Chris Patterson (Donna) and Amy Lavinder (Steve); her grandchildren, Jessica Patterson, Alex Patterson, Victoria Lavinder Ramsey, AliSue Patterson Ngo, James Lavinder and Nate Patterson; and her siblings, Edith Herndon, Kathy Pace and Dallas McElheney.
