She was predeceased by: her parents, Marcellus Breedlove and Cora Tarpley Breedlove; her husband James Cabell, Jr.; and her siblings, Dorothy Hall, Lucy Bennett, Dela Brown, Mary White, Hope Breedlove, Bendie Hall, Lillie White, Errie and Jake Breedlove.

She is survived by: her children, Cora Jackson, Dorothy Cabell Thompson, Kimberly Coleman (Todd), Melancholy Gwynn (Marcus), James Cabell III Johnny Cabell (Kay), Jake Cabell and Anthony Cabell; and her brother Floyd Breedlove. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Laurel Grove Missionary Baptist Church (3421 Kerns Church Rd, Sutherlin, VA 24594). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Floral Hill Memory Gardens.
