She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Lacey Easley and Roy Maxwell Easley; her husband Kenneth Ray Nester Sr.; her daughter April Nester Barts; her brothers, Donald Phillip Easley and Lynwood "Sonny" Easley; her brother-in-law Edwin Shields; and her grandson Colby Reed Nester.

She is survived by: her children, Karen Nester Hayes (Jeff) of Blairs, VA and Kenneth Ray Nester Jr. of Gulfport, Mississippi; her sisters, Joan E. Shields and Winnie E. Cassada (Butch); her grandchildren, Cambell Grace Barts, Taylor Rae Barts, Kiersten Hayes and Kennedy Nester; and her sister-in-law Carnelia Easley.
