She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Drew Gosney and Madge Hodnett Gosney; her husband Ernest Garland Tanksley (EG); her son Garland Reid Tanksley; and her sister Helen Gosney Smith (Alvin Smith).
She is survived by: her son Edward Dale Tanksley; her daughter-in-law Patricia Tanksley; her grandsons, Brian Dale Tanksley (Kristie), Brandon Drew Tanksley (Misty) and Garland Drew Tanksley (Shanna); her great grandchildren, Parker Tanksley, Spencer Tanksley, Hallie Drew Tanksley and Benjamin Reid Tanksley; and her stepgreat-grandsons, Jesse Ingram, Evan Martinez, Michael Douglas and David Douglas (DC).
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials may be made to: Moffett Memorial Baptist Church, God's Storehouse, Danville Habitat for Humanity, Antioch Baptist Church, or other charity.
