He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Eugene Fox and Dorothy Owen Fox; and his siblings, Carolyn Griffin and Hoyt "Butch" Fox. He is survived by: his sons, Michael J. Fox, II (Martha) and Bryan Fox (Jennifer); and his brother Rickie L. Fox (Sharon). He is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Danville Life Saving Crew 202 Christopher Lane Danville, VA 24541.
