He was predeceased by: his parents, Mosie Palmer Lovern and Margaret King Lovern; and his brother Mark Ellis Lovern. He is survived by: his wife Joan Gilbert Lovern; his children, Stephanie Collins, Michael P. Lovern, II and Aaron Lovern (Rebekah); his siblings, Wayne Lovern (Sue), Maurice Lovern (Trudy) and Marianna Wilmoth (Richard); and his grandchildren, Sarah L. Beale (Michael), Tori L. Moser (Drew), Anna Collins, Charlotte Collins, Avery Lovern and Elizabeth Rapp. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Mountain Valley Hospice.
