He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Scarce and Elayne Scarce; his wife Sally LaDage Scarce; and his son Matthew Scott Scarce (Caitlyn). He is survived by: his daughter Kristen LaDage Scarce; his stepdaughter Delana Parker Lott; his sister Deby Scarce Gildea (Sean); and his pet Lexi.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital, Danville Cancer Association or Danville Humane Society.
