She was predeceased by: her parents, Doc Franklin and Stella Laws; and her siblings, Carolyn, Margie, Margaret, Amelia, Robert, Junior, Howard and Willie "Pink".
She is survived by: her husband James Thomas "Tommy" Watson, Jr.; her children, Nancy Jean "Doolie" Wiles of Sutherlin, VA, James T. "Buck" Watson, III (Deidrie) of Sutherlin, VA and Elizabeth Ann Watson (Nathan) of Sutherlin, VA; her grandchildren, Ashley Hernandez (Alex), James T. "J. T." Watson, IV (Mary), Andrew Wiles, Sean Watson (Desiree) and "Bud" Thoman of Tennessee; her great grandchildren, Teresa Hernandez and Lilly Mae Watson; and her sisters, Ruby Carter and Alma Hinton.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts North Main Chapel (703 N Main St, Danville, VA 24540). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Kerns Memorial United Methodist Church (3860 Kerns Church Rd, Sutherlin, VA 24594).
In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorial donations be made to Kerns Memorial United Methodist Church, 3172 Hackberry Road, Sutherlin, VA, 24594.
