He is survived by: his wife Joy Hamlett Thompson; his daughters, Kim Thompson Lewis (Jay) of Danville, VA and Cindy Thompson Long (Kevin) of Roxboro, NC; his grandsons, Joshua Lewis, Justin Lewis and Spencer Boyd; his great grandchild Holden Lewis; and his sisters, Linda Thompson Reid of Burlington, NC and Anne Thompson Knight of Danville, VA..
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Danville Memorial Gardens (510 Church Ave, Danville, VA 24541).
