He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufus Blackwell, Sr. and Hattie Foust Blackwell; his wife Lucille Ingram Blackwell; and his daughter Queen Brown. He is survived by: his daughters, Teresa Edmunds, Paula Foust, Olivia Blackwell, Alfreda Blackwell and Rita Ann Saunders; and his siblings, Rebecca, Druann Blackwell and Rufus Blackwell, Jr.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
