He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Bowman; his granddaughters, Alissa (Frank), Jessica (Tony) and Amanda; his great grandchildren, Alyssa, Nicholas, Ava, Mason and Brooks; his siblings, Avis V. Sutherland of Providence, Pauline Caricofe of New Hope, Virginia and Earnest Sutherland (Gloria) of Waynesboro, Virginia; his nephew Avis Vee Sutherland of Alton, Virginia.; and his close friend English Pointer.
