She was predeceased by: her parents, John Nelson and Margaret Worsham Wood; her husband Bill Gray; her daughter Jennifer Elaine Crawley; her siblings, Margaret Wood Wells, Laura Ellen Wood and Landon Nelson Wood (Jack); and her stepson Odell W. Gray, III.

She is survived by: her daughter Laura Crawley Osborne (Lin Osborne) of Cary; her stepdaughter Karen Gray Leary (Jonathan) of Salem, Virginia; her stepgrandchildren, Will and Abby Gray; her nephews, Harvey Wells and Charles Wells (Yvonne); and her friends, Rathin, Supriya Basu and Ragini Messier (Basu).
