With sadness, we share the passing of Patsy Merricks Hamlett of Danville, Virginia. Patsy, born on July 27, 1944, passed away on August 13, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lester Merricks and Ruby Carter Merricks; her husband Giles Claude Hamlett; and her daughter Shannon Darnell Cox. She is survived by: her daughter Roxanne Oakes (Harold); her grandchildren, Travis Lee Oakes (Sandra), Michal Bradley Tekac (Heather), Matthew Brandon Agnor (Somer) and Havanna Nicole Watlington (Ricky); her sister Judy Merricks Wallace (Randall); her nephew Randall "Randy" Lee Wallace, Jr. (Jackie); and her niece Angela Michelle Plotkin. She is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
