It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy Handy (Danville, Virginia), who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Peter Dillard; and her husband Lewis Randolph "Randy" Handy. She is survived by: her son Tyler Akers Handy (Melanie D. Handy) of Archdale, NC; her grandchildren, Jonah Tyler Handy of High Point, NC and Abigail Taylor Handy of Archdale, NC; and her cousins, Eddie, Sharon Akers of Rocky Mount, VA, Dillard and Iris Akers of Rocky Mount, VA.. She is also survived by her friends, family, and her neighbors.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Mount Vernon United Methodist Church, 107 West Main St., Danville, VA, 24541.
