With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rachel Gammon of Danville, Virginia, born in Gretna, Virginia, who passed away on November 19, 2022 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel William Keesee and Lottie Carrie Love Keesee; her husband Robert Jackson Gammon; and her son Pvt. She is survived by: her siblings, Curtis Keesee Sr., Joel Keesee, Gilmer Keesee, Morris Keesee, Ida Kilmon, Hallie Hardaway, Nora Bayliss, Beulah Barbour, Lucy Carwile and Doris Duncan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
