We announce the death of Raymond Boyd of Danville, Virginia, who passed away on July 16, 2026, at the age of 89. Raymond will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Putnam and Dollie Likens Boyd; his wife Arlene "Rona" Hazelwood Boyd; and his siblings, Lynn "Bull" Boyd and Madeline Boyd.
He is survived by: his brother Sam Boyd (Kendra); his nephews, Jeff Boyd (Kenna) and Kevin Boyd (Audra); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Hatton Boyd, Joise Boyd, Carter Boyd and Tyson Boyd; and his friend Peggy Finney.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to the WMU of Vandola Baptist Church 1950 Vandola Church Rd Danville, VA 24541.
