He was predeceased by: his father Bennie Brooks; and his brother Michael Wayne Brooks. He is survived by: his siblings, Benjamin Stuart Brooks (Kathy) of Chatham, Steven A. Brooks, Sr. (Amy) of Leasburg, NC, Kimberly B. Hamlett (Larry) of Milton, NC and Kenneth D. Brooks (Lisa) of Blanch, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
