He is survived by: his wife Pam Raines; his children, Rodney Raines II (Olivia), Liza Snead (Eric), Kristen Allen (Thomas) and Lisa Austin (James); his grandchildren, Rod Raines III, Tristen Raines, Gabe Snead, Grayson Snead (Luke) and Cooper Austin; and his siblings, Kent Raines (Helen), Stephen Raines (Bonnie) and Janet Taff (Bennett).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel (5858 Riverside Dr, Danville, VA 24541). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
