With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Hackler of Danville, Virginia, born in Rural Retreat, Virginia, who passed away on December 10, 2020 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Lee Hackler and Lorina Sage Hackler; his wife Florence Hackler; and his brother Ernest "Buckeye" Hackler. He is survived by: his children, Lori Rhodes (Jerry), Rev. Mark Hackler (Cheryl) and Mike Hackler; his grandson Matthew Hackler; his great grandchildren, Jace Hackler, Gavin Hackler and Kayleigh Hackler; his stepgrandchild Madison Wyker; his sister Ernestine Sult; his close friend Susan Hatcher; and his pet Petey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
