He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Minter and Mary Smith Minter. He is survived by: his wife Kitty Demott Minter; his daughters, Heather Minter and Kristy Wood (Nathaniel); his siblings, Brenda Cobb (Jim), Debbie Bryant, Rhonda Adkins, Terry Minter (Jan), Dennis Minter (Jackie) and Kevin Minter; and his grandchildren, Paxton Hankins, Tristan Wood and Mae Wood.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Kentuck Elementary School Library, 100 Kentuck Elementary Circle, Ringgold, VA 24586.
