He is survived by: his mother Theresia Strammer Lautenbach; his wife Helen Hintz Lautenbach; his children, Eric Lautenbach of Callands, VA, Russell Lautenbach (Miranda) of Callands, VA and Kristy Kofane (Brice) of Waynesboro, VA; his siblings, Roland Lautenbach (Tracey) of Raleigh, NC and Rosemarie Dipple (Floyd) of Frenchtown, NJ; his grandchildren, KayLeigh, Aaron, Konrad, Ava and Xhander; and his pet Lacy. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Norris Funeral Home's Mt. Hermon Chapel (3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA 24540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to a local fire and rescue organization in honor of Roy.
