He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Franklin Sowers, Sr. and Shirley Myers Sowers. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Shelton Sowers; his sister Sharon Womack of Burlington, NC; and his mother-in-law Christine Payne of Gretna. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
