He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wesley Barker, Sr. and Nora Wilson Barker; his wife Peggy Jean Fowlkes Morris; and his siblings, Eugene Barker, John "Jackie" Barker II and Betty Maddox.
He is survived by: his children, Kenny Barker (Melisa), Tracey Morris, Michelle Barker Judkins and Susan Page Morris; his siblings, Gary Barker Sr., Thomas Barker, Rita Williams, Faye Glass and Gaynell Purdue; and his grandchildren, Calvin (Maribeth), Megan, Joshua, Daniel, Luca, Amber, Audrey, Kelse and Logan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Saint Mark Pentecostal Holiness Church.
