He is survived by: his wife Myrtie Pittmon Giles; his children, Jennifer Oakes (Matt), Samuel Giles, II (Kasey) and Natalie Hudgins (Jon); and his siblings, Billy L. Giles, Jr., Pat Woodson (Bobby) and Gayle Thomson (Jack).
