She is survived by: her children, Mary King of Danville, VA, Mark King of Danville, VA and Ebony King of Danville, VA; her sisters, Ophelia King Rice of Danville, VA and Verna King Anderson of Danville, VA; her close friend George Scales; her caregiver Wanda Dabney; and her niece Valerie Weir. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
