She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Childress and Delphia Wall Childress; her husband Rodger L. Walton, Sr.; her son Rodger L. Walton, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Louise Loftis Walton; her granddaughter Tina Walton Evans; her grandson-in-law Nelson Evans; and her siblings, Nancy Childress Lipford, Edna Childress Johnson and James Edward Childress, Jr..
She is survived by: her daughter Judy Walton Whitlow (Darby); her grandchildren, Richard L. Walton (Sandra) and Shay Whitlow (Gary Tomlinson); and her great grandchildren, Kristy Jones, Justin Evans (Tiffany), Craig Evans (Jessica), Brittany Walton and Moses Tomlinson. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
The family respectfully request that no food donations be made, rather give to those in need. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations can be made to Mount Hermon Baptist Church at 4385 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA 24540, or to a charity of your choice.
