With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tony Ray Gilbert of Danville, Virginia, who passed away on March 29, 2023 at the age of 63. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude R. Gilbert and Lois W. Gilbert; his wife Kathy Tate Gilbert; and his sister Linda Gilbert Cook of Danville. He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Rae Prickett (Joshua Prickett) of Winchester, VA; his granddaughter Emmerson Grace Prickett; his sisters, Joan Lovern (Mike) and Kathy Harville (John); and his brother-in-law Wayne Cook. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Tony's best friend Roy Teague's GoFundMe in his battle against cancer.
